Cognitive Ageing Research Methods for Medical Students
The CARMMS system is a VLE that has been developed to support the Postgraduate Certificate in Cognitive Ageing Research Methods for Medical Students. This is an online distance learning programme delivered by the Centre for Cognitive Ageing and Cognitive Epidemiology.
Due to the nature of delivering a programme online with very limited face-to-face teaching the VLE has been designed to engage the students using a mixture of online lecture materials, well formed discussion, and online assessment.
To ensure that students do not miss any of the content that has been provided for them we use a timetabled approach in addition to the normal methods of delivering content to make sure that content is immediately identifiable to the students.
