Collaborative Learning Environment Online
CLEO is a collaboration of the four Scottish Dental Schools, Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow with NHS Education Scotland (NES).
Each Dental School/Institute are creating learning resources using their particular expertise for their students. This will then be shared through a repository held by NES.
Edinburgh Dental Institute and LTS are currently working on resources of restorative clinical procedures aimed at postgraduate students, these include:
- crown preparations
- alginates
- matrices
- rubber dam
- restorations
Video, photography, illustration, animation and self assessments are all used to create the learning resources and coming soon, 3D.
Edinburgh are using Labyrinth to deliver their learning resources.
CLEO is funded by NHS Education Scotland.
