Mastering Clinical Audit is a self-directed online distance learning course run by the Office of Lifelong Learning (OLL). Developed from a highly successful one day course, Mastering Clinical Audit was devised by Professor Gerry Fowkes, Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Edinburgh and Dr Mark Charny, formerly Director of the UK National Centre for Clinical Audit. The aim of this course is to provide participants with the understanding and skills to promote and conduct effective multi-professional clinical audit. This course allows staff to acquire the necessary understanding and skills at their own pace and without disruption to their clinical work.
The course consists of 8 interactive Flash-based tutorials, which take the student through the process of assessing suitability, preparing and running a clinical audit. Completion is rewarded with a certificate.
